Eros and Intimacy

By Gabriel Cousens Intimacy takes us into the mystery of life; it is not about safety or security. It is about the alchemical process of transformation. It takes us to the frontiers of human existence and brings us face-to-face with our angels and demons. It may activate our deepest thought formsour issues with our family of origin, our personal patterns, who we are, our ability to express and receive love, and the essence of what spiritual life is about. The sacred relationship is our journey into the unknown. Opening up to the risk of intimacy is part of the evolution of human consciousness. We are challenged to maintain and grow within a live, turned-on connection and love, and to free ourselves from old patterns of pain. In the process, we also need to create space for the other to exist and to grow. At a high level of intimacy, we support each other to become the fullest expressions of that which we are meant to bethe wild female and the wild male. To become the original of whom we are meant to be. We, as partners, have the choice and ability to give space to the other to become their full, original self. This is very different from the typical kind of relationship, in which we try to tame the other person into our idea of who he or she should be for us. In intimacy, our role is to help the other reach their full depth as a human being. Intimacy is an alchemical process of transformation. It invokes the presence of the Divine. We call this the alchemical merging into the ONE. The definition of intimacy is maintaining an open heart, in love, with the other over time. In intimacy, we have two essences that must be balanced. The female essence, which can be in a male or a female person, is the Rainbow Radiance of who we arethe full flow and dance of Love. It wants to shine, to be seen, and needs to be recognized and to be known. The female essence is the flower and the joy of fullness. The male essence, which can also be in a male or a female person, is to die into the unknowna total focus on oneness, dissolving into the Nothing. So, one is about emptiness and the other is about fullness. And these need to match for a relationship to really work. In the Hindu paradigm, it is Shiva and Shakti. Shakti is the play of consciousness in the world. Shiva is the nothing. It just sits there and witnesses the world, unchanging; it is absolute consciousness, itself. These characteristics help us to understand the differences. When the male and female essences get together, there is a merging of light and consciousness. This alchemical energy is the essence of real, deep merging with God. Now, lets talk about communication. The female essence needs one thing: to know its loved. If the male essence does not communicate to the female that she is loved, things dont work so well. What the male essence needs is to know that it is succeeding and not failing. The difference in needs causes the male and female essences to communicate on different levels. All communicationin relationship, in lovemaking, and in everyday lifehas to hold these messages. This is what we call meta-communication. By understanding these essences, we can give and receive in a way that uplifts the other person and allows space for them to be their full, authentic self. In order for this to be possible, however, both people have to be operating from the same level of intention, or awareness. To live erotically means to be and see God in all things. True eros is the key to living erotically in the non-sexual areas of our lives. That is the point! The erotic becomes the Divine Kiss that powers our desire for God, and at the same time is the result of God-Merging. Once the yearning starts, we are willing to take it to higher and higher levels, which, in my book, Spiritual Nutrition: Six Foundations for Spiritual Life and the Awakening of Kundalini, I call the Six Foundations: 1) Spiritual nutrition (food) and spiritual fasting 2) Building the life force (prana) with pranayama, yoga, sacred dance, etc. 3) Service and charity (when we give, we are connecting) 4) Being inspired by a spiritual teacher (satsang), support by a spiritual group, reading the great literature, jnana yoga 5) Silence, meditation, praying, mantra repetition, and chanting 6) Shaktipat and the awakening of Kundalini energy. 2007 Elite Books. Business Card Marketing 101

By Chris Ryerson With the invention of the internet, email, blogs and chat rooms many companies wrongly assume they no longer need a business card. However, if you have ever been stuck in the awkward position of meeting a client for the first time and having to scribble your business name on a restaurant napkin or worse yet a torn piece of paper you will know the importance of business cards. You see websites, company blogs and all the technology in the world is great but it does not help with face to face networking. This is the type of networking you should be doing constantly if you are a small business owner. In fact this is one of the only types of marketing you should really be spending your time with direct face to face contact is the way to build relationships and therefore build your business. So if you are just starting out or have though you dont need a business card you might want to think again. Below are some tips to help you with your business card marketing and social networking that will bring clients into your business ready to buy. Why you ask because you have made a personal contact. Social networking Success! Got Business Cards? Okay so we stole that one from the Got Milk campaign but it is such a great line. The point is you should always have your business cards with you. You should have a batch of 50 or so in your vehicle, in your pocket, in your day planner, in your briefcase of backpack. In fact you should keep them in your gym bag and your family car also. Keep business cards everywhere you go. You should treat them just like your wallet, keys and cell phone can you imagine leaving home without these? Well, your business cards are the same way in fact you should feel almost naked with out your business cards. Why you might ask? Well, you honestly never know when you are going to meet a potential client. You might meet them in the market as you are buying milk late at night for your family or standing in line at the movies. Talk! Talk! Talk! In real estate the old saying was the one thing that affect price is location, location, location well if you are a small business owner the one thing that will directly affect the success of your business is talk, talk, talk. The more you talk to people the more contact you will make. Now dont take this the wrong way and try to push your business on every poor should standing in line at the grocery store. You do not wan to try the hard sell on everyone. You want to think of it as the soft sell. Just talk to people and be (not pretend to be) genuinely interested in them. Even if they are complete strangers go ahead and talk to them. It can just be a simple comment about the weather or the latest sports game that you watched. The talk does not have to be big and important but if you dont start the conversation you have lost the client forever from the get go. Make an Impression You want to make an impression with people and the strangest part about this is that the more interest you show in them the bigger impression you will leave. You see we are all in love with ourselves if we admit it or not that is the truth. So the more you are interested in a person and the more you listen, the bigger impression you will make. Often you can say a lot less and leave a much bigger impression then if you said too much. At the end of the conversation you can easily follow up with a , Hey by the way it was nice talking to you. Here is my business card hope to see you around again sometime soon. Or you can think up some other line that works better for you and in your own situation. It really depends on the situation you are in and who you are talking to. The most important thing is to remember you are doing the soft sell and not trying to push your product or company on the person just be interested. So make sure you always carry your business cards with you at all time and talk to people. That is it no real big secret, it just takes action! Knitting - My Passion

By Holly Burnham I always wanted to be good at something, no not just good, I wanted to excel. Everyone does, whether they admit it or not. Through the years Ive tried all the needle arts, painting, sewing, cooking, gardening. Once, and this is a secret..I tried to write a book. Knitting seems to be my niche. I get compliments on my knitting. I like getting compliments and so I knit more. My first few attempts were very sad. My sweet daughter once wore a sweater for an entire winter that, because I had run out of yarn and bought something close enough, had one sleeve a different pink than the rest of the sweater. My son wore mittens with the thumbs so misplaced his entire wrist was exposed to the snow and cold. I knit two ugly sweaters for friends of ours one Christmas and proudly wrapped and presented them. Understandably, I never saw them sport them. I am better now. I produce decent garments for my grandchildren. This current generation owes a lot to the previous one. I knit for pleasure..my pleasure, and that is a good thing. As I get older I clearly see its important to take care of yourself. Knitting takes care of me. I experience a soothing sensation as I pick up my needles and start fondling the yarn. I preen with pride when someone enthusiastically admires something Ive knitted for them. I enjoy the camaraderie of fellow needle clickers. I want you to learn to knit because I cant imagine life without this past time, but more importantly, I want you to find something that fills you with joy. I want you to find your individual passion. Humans are, by nature, creative beings. Our lives are so full we sometimes neglect to find time for our personal pursuits. In my opinion, the secret is to try anything that interests you. You will be good at some and fail at others. Somewhere in your heart is a passion you need to nurture. Holly Burnham is a self admitted yarn addict. The addiction will be life long and there is no hope of remission. Her constant knitting has put the cleanliness of her home in peril. Her yarn stashes are havens for generations of moths. The Unique Problem of Cellulite Reduction

By Mary Scott Its one of the most common figure flaws and one of the hardest to get rid of dimpled, lumpy cellulite on the thighs, legs, stomach, and arms. Regardless of diet, exercise, or age, over 80% of women by some estimates as high as 90% have visible cellulite. Last year, according to ABC News, over $100 million was spent on cellulite reduction in America. There are two reasons for the outpouring:Unlike other fat, cellulite isnt broken down by diet or exercise, and it is not clear why.Because no one knows exactly what causes it, there are few effective ways to reduce it. New technologies are offering a promising twist to cellulite reduction, combining infrared light and radio frequency (RF) with massaging rollers to break up and smooth cellulite and also to stimulate collagen production and metabolism deep in the tissue for long-term results. Describing Cellulite Although cellulite is structurally the same as regular fat (adipose tissue), it builds up in a very different way. For cellulite, fat is layered in globular pockets under the skin, held in place by rigid connective tissues. The lumpy pockets of fat give cellulite its cobblestone appearance. Cellulite is not broken down through diet or exercise the way normal fat deposits are. One theory holds that toxins and fluids are trapped in the pockets, which impair metabolism and keep the fat from being broken up. Additionally, cellulite production is tied to hormones, specifically estrogen, so things that cause hormone fluctuations like pregnancy, puberty, menopause, even stress can cause cellulite. Where and at what rate cellulite is formed is different for every person. Diet and exercise can improve the situation somewhat by keeping overall body fat down and by keeping the underlying muscle firm. But even diet and exercise cannot remove, or improve, cellulite. Since cellulite doesnt really go away, the appearance of cellulite gets worse over time, as more deposits build up. Cellulite Reduction Options There are five major types of cellulite reduction therapy:Topical treatments: Lotions or creams usually work by using caffeine or some other stimulant to tighten the top skin layers. These are temporary effects.Mesotherapy: This is a series of injections of special medicines or homeopathic ingredients to stimulate metabolism. The main drawbacks are lingering soreness, bruising, and pain during the injections.Cosmetic surgery: There are a variety of possible surgical procedures like liposuction, which removes the fat deposits; subcision, which slices the upper skin layer, severing the connective tissues between the fat globules and the skin, and allows fluid to fill the pockets, making the cellulite look smoother; and fat transfer, which injects fat deposits to fill in the pockets and make the cellulite look smoother. Cosmetic surgery can effectively remove existing cellulite, but with potential side effects like infection, inflammation, pain, and recovery time.Endermology: This uses suction to break up the fat deposits, while massaging rollers smooth the cellulite, which decreases its appearance.Combination technology: This progressive treatment, based on heat energy and approved by the FDA in 2005, unites massaging rollers with heat from infrared and radio frequency (RF) to stimulate collagen production and reshape the cellulite. RF makes the heat go deeper, more safely, and adds a beneficial skin tightening effect that smoothes the overall appearance of the skin. The therapy feels similar to a deep tissue massage.Another Look at Cellulite Reduction Therapy Combined technology of infrared and RF has advantages over other cellulite reduction therapies. First, this procedure is safe for almost every patient, as well as being virtually painless. Second, this kind of cellulite reduction therapy uses different approaches to reducing cellulite appearance, by stimulating metabolism and collagen production as well as manually reshaping the cellulite. Infrared and RF heat deep into the tissue to increase blood flow throughout the layers of the skin. The increased blood flow boosts metabolism, which helps decrease the cellulite. The heat generated helps break down the fat deposits, so the massaging rollers smooth cellulite more effectively. RF even tightens skin, which reduces the dimpled appearance of cellulite. The only side effect from this treatment is redness from the heat. This kind of cellulite reduction routine usually takes 15-20 treatments to see the full effects. Treatments are performed twice a week for the first course, then monthly to maintain it. Realizing Results Cellulite reduction therapy is a process. No cures, not even surgery, are permanent since the processes which create cellulite heredity, stress, hormones are still in effect. The key is to find sustainable cellulite reduction therapy. Combined technologies like infrared and RF energy offer uniquely sustainable and effective cellulite reduction therapy. American Laser Hair Removal provides professional laser hair removal services performed by specially trained staff for a painless, long lasting hair removal solution. Interior Redesign - Is a Career in this Alternative Decorating Field for You?

By Julie Rieman Have you been considering a career in the exciting alternative decorating field of Interior Redesign? If so, there are several important questions to ask your potential trainer. First and foremost is… Does the training provide a certificate or certification? The difference being, many instructors will hand out a “certificate” after the student has been involved with several other people in rearranging a handful of rooms. It doesn’t really mean much and is hardly worth the paper it is written on. A “certification” usually requires the student pass some sort of testing procedure to indicate they are knowledgeable in the said field. This means much more. Will there be actual client contact? This is very important for the interior redesign student. To observe the instructor interacting with a client is a great learning experience and vital to everyone starting in the business. Not only does the student obtain valuable insight to the process of interior redesign but they get caught up in the excitement of the project reveal! How many redesign projects will be completed during training? I learned that the IRIS standard of professionalism in FIVE! This hardly seems like enough but it seemingly is the standard to become a professional. Be wary of instructors that offer less than this as it may be difficult for to join future affiliations to add to your credibility. What is included in the training and what additional purchases will be needed? Most instructors include a manual and offer ongoing support. If they offer monthly or quarterly meetings, this is hardly useful if you live out of the instructor’s home state. Some do offer teleconferences and web meetings that can be accessed from anywhere. Ask if the course includes any tools…especially business forms and information about starting your own business. Factor into your cost of tuition these additional purchases. I would like to mention the tuition factor. After researching this alternative decorating field of interior redesign, I discovered that there are no checks and balances. Most training centers are in it only for the money and do not even require testing of their students. Moving around furniture for a few days does not a professional make. Buyers beware when choosing an instructor in this field. Julie Rieman is an accomplished instructor in the arts of faux painting and interior redesign.. She offers two and four day classroom or online interior redesign training. If you live in the Twin Cities area, you can invite Julie into your home for a personalized consultation. Aucuba Japonica ‘Gold Dust’

By Alan Summers All gardens have problem spots - those areas where it seems that nothing will grow. Often, this tends to be in the shade - either under a large tree or the eves of a house. This week we are featuring an evergreen that will solve the problem of bare, shaded areas and will add eye catching color and interest to your garden - Aucuba japonica ‘Gold Dust.’ Unlike most garden plants that only tolerate shade, Aucubas prefer shade and will thrive in the shadiest of spots, even under trees where no grass grows. Native to Japan, Aucubas are a small group of evergreen shrubs that belong to the same family as dogwoods, but look nothing like them. ‘Gold Dust’ is one of the most popular of the Aucubas, named for its speckled leaves that look as if someone had sprinkled gold dust on them. These handsome leaves are the reason why most folks add this shrub to their garden. ‘Gold Dust’ will flower in late March and produce red berries in October, but neither is very noticeable next to the striking foliage. Planting and Care ‘Gold Dust’ will mature as a rounded shrub six feet to eight feet tall by six feet wide. It can be kept severely pruned to a compact three foot by three foot shrub. ‘Gold Dust’ grows almost one foot per year. It is ideal as a dense screen; also in difficult spots in foundation plantings. Very pollution tolerant; excellent for urban sites. Very easy to grow. Plant in a shady location. Will tolerate morning sun. In Zones 6 and 7, avoid exposure to cold winter winds. Prefers well-drained soil. Once established ‘Gold Dust’ is extremely drought tolerant. If needed, prune in the spring before new growth begins. Hardy in Zones 7-10 (6 with protection). ‘Gold Dust’ is one of the hardiest of the Aucubas. Fertilize in spring with Plant-Tone or Cottonseed Meal. 11 Things to Remember in Planning Your Wedding

By Simon Emmett Every woman dreams of her own wedding. May it be a small gathering in a picturesque orchard, a grand ball in a gigantic castle or a funky wedding along the coastline, she wants it planned and tailored to her wishes. Planning your wedding would take time, effort and energy but it’s worth it. For brides out there, here are some things you can’t forget to look into. 1. Payments Of course, planning your wedding will need sufficient amount of cash. Establish who pays for what. This is usually worked out between the couple and their families. 2. Marriage License Requirements There are different requirements for each state, so be sure to look into yours. Remember that you can’t even start planning your wedding without a license so make it high priority. 3. Booking the ceremony and the reception Choose a place to hold your wedding. It’d be great if both parties talk about it. Also, planning your wedding means planning the reception well so that there won’t be wrinkles in your wonderful day. 4. Reception Ideas Planning your wedding by yourself might become tiring, so set up a brainstorming session with your friends and relatives to work out the details. List the ideas in a piece of paper and deliberate on them carefully. Properly laid out plans are wonderful to work with. 5. Invitations The invitation should be simple yet elegant. An overly decorated invitation just turns people off. Remember to include all the people involved in the wedding itself and address them properly. Be sure to indicate if you’re inviting the children of the family too because most parents don’t take them to weddings if their presence is not specifically requested. 6. Catering Oohh… the success of every party more often than not relies on its food. Make sure that what you serve is of good quality and that they taste good. Go over the menu with the head chef and ask him for suggestions. Not only that this will give you great ideas, it will form a bond between you and the chef. Keep in mind that when planning your wedding, it pays to be in good terms with most of the staff. 7. Photos and Videos Talk to the personnel and clarify what you want done. Sometimes, they just do things their own way and the couple ends up with really crappy results. Professionals are your best bet and they understand the need of planning your wedding to perfection. 8. Attendants List all the people you want to have as your attendants and notify them as soon as possible. Just because you’re marrying doesn’t mean that the world will stop spinning and watch you in all your splendor. Take into consideration that people may have to rearrange their schedules to make it to your big day. Yes, planning your wedding take tremendous effort not only on you but on your attendants too. 9. Showers No wedding is complete without showers. Since the bride is busy planning her wedding, this duty might fall into the hands of the mothers or the maid of honor. 10. Wedding speeches In the midst of planning your wedding, take time to stop and list all you want to say on the day of your wedding. An impromptu speech is sincere, yes, but you might feel put out that you neglected to put emphasis on some people that really helped you a lot. 11. Maps If your venue is in an area that is not so widely known, a map will be very useful. It will lessen the guests’ aggravation on not finding the place and asking for directions. 12. Nitty Gritty Details These are often overlooked in the chaos that is called “Planning your wedding”. These are the little things that you might forget like having your gown cleaned and pressed ( if it’s an heirloom), wobbling in your high heeled wedding shoes, delivery of gifts, your honeymoon itinerary, gifts and thank you cards. Try listing all of them and have someone look into them for you. I hope you enjoyed these tips! Small Business Marketing Solution - Build the Bloom Team

By Craig Lutz-Priefert No matter how adept a marketer you develop into, youll still be a finite human being. We vigorously urge you to be fruitful, and multiply your small business marketing efforts by creating a core team made up of key employees. You already know who the achievers are in your company. Theyre that 20% of the workforce that is dedicated to the company and excels in their positions. They are the people that the company is built upon. Pick four or five from this group of achievers and create a mini marketing advisory board to aid you. We like to call this group the Bloom Team. Your job is to provide the seed, the core kernels of the marketing ideas, and to nurture them along. The achievers will amplify your efforts and spread them to the rest of the company and to your customer base. Once that happens, your marketing efforts will grow nicely. Your ongoing use of the Bloom Team will lift your company to a level far beyond what you can achieve by slugging through the tough job of marketing all alone. Dont fool yourself; it wont be easy. Welding together a functional team of co-workers is a challenge for anybody. If you dont have extensive marketing training yourself, some employees may see you as actually being inferior in ability to them. Others will see the formation of a team as a waste of their time; a situation that will not effect any good change for the company and simply inflict more work on them. You dont need negative people on the Bloom Team, but neither is it wise to fill it with yes-men (or yes-women) that will simply go along with all your ideas. Above all, you need people you can trust and who want to see the company grow. If they have these two qualities, you can work with them to build a team that will help your company grow through much improved marketing. A useful acronym for the ways you can leverage the achiever group is VIC: Validate Implement Criticize Remember: Brand (who you are) + Package (your Face to the Customer) + People (customers and employees) = Marketing Success. 2006 Marketing Hawk Craig Lutz-Priefert is President of Marketing Hawks, a firm providing essential marketing vision for small business. Business Loans and Small Business Loans

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Christian_N]Christian N Business loans can help you begin a new business or assist you in recovering if your business is experiencing cash flow problems. If the applicant for a business loan has good credit, the approval process is very simple. Business loans to people who have good credit often require no collateral nor do they require that you submit a business plan. Some lenders will not lend for the start up of a business but will extend an established business a business loan. There is no guarantee that a new business will be successful, so the lender may view business loans for establishing new businesses as a high risk. Current business owners who need a business loan could be required to have been in business for a certain number of years in order to qualify. There will also be other criteria that must be met in order to obtain business loans, such as the amount of recurring monthly debt or revolving credit balances. Before obtaining a business loan, consider choosing an amount that can be paid back without putting too much financial pressure on the future of your business. Whether secured or unsecured, business loans can help your business grow provided you handle your money well. The lack of funds keeps many people from going into business for themselves. Business loans can remedy this situation if the entrepreneur has reasonably good credit. Having bad credit will prohibit someone from obtaining a business loan with most lenders. Many new businesses are funded strictly by business loans, whether the business has been in existence for a period of time and someone is purchasing it or if the business owner has just started one from scratch. In case of a bad credit history, the prospective business owner might consider finding a partner with good credit to help obtain a business loan. Current business owners often obtain business loans to expand the business with intentions of increasing profits in the long run. This may include building one or more new locations or adding to the existing location. Expanding a business often requires hiring more employees and a business loan will help provide competitive wages and benefits to a larger staff. Loyal employees are vital to any business and a great way to ensure that employees remain loyal is to offer a reasonable salary and great benefits. It is also important to any business to have a good financial advisor to provide guidance in how to best run the business. “I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with my eye.” (Psalms 32:8) For more information, visit: http://www.christianet.com/articles/ http://www.christianet.com/ Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Christian_N http://EzineArticles.com/?Business-Loans-and-Small-Business-Loans&id=71520 bad credit auto loan orlando low interest payday loan personal loan to on business taxwise business llc payday loan self employed

Future of Cash Back Schemes

By Joanne Elizabeth When the cash back schemes were first launched, the cynics among the marketing strategists proclaimed that there was no future for them and that they would be consigned to the dustbin of history very soon. Something like that never happened however. Instead, they have gained immense popularity with the consumers of all classes. It is worthwhile, therefore, to examine the causes of this popularity and try and make a prediction on the future of these schemes. A study of the customer behaviour has shown that they all like to go for cheap and discounted things (it is a different matter though that discounts can sometimes actually be an eye-wash). While there was a scope of an eye-wash in the traditional shopping, there is hardly any in e-commerce. The reason is obvious: the customers can compare the rates of hundreds of merchants at one site and make out what is what. Tough competition among merchants also ensures that the consumers get real discounts on the purchases they make. The chief cause of popularity of the cash back schemes, we can conclude safely therefore, is the discount factor. personal loans malta student personal loans consolidate pay day loans high risk personal loan
